Well deserved for Michelin star. One of the most delicious Thai food with one Michelin star. The taste is fabulous for both local thai and tourist flavor, very well established. I would say it is one of quite a few Michelin star restaurants that can execute local Thai food in maintaining authentic taste. It can be revisit again and again since it is more like everyday restaurant, not too fancy nor not too casual. The atmosphere is very nice. Also the booking is quite manageable

This authentic Thai restaurant is well deserving of the Michelin Star! The food is exceptional, we tried the crab 🦀 meat Omelette, chicken green curry and the Creamy Tom Yum Soup with Giant River Prawns and all are delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. This is a hidden gem in Bangkok! A must try! Kudos for a job well done! We will come back again soon.

The restaurant was recommended by our European friend. We had high expectations for this Michelin restaurant, however we walked out quite disappointed. Firstly the service is not Michelin standard. The plates were served on table without any explanations. We were so surprised to see plain boiled egg. No taste at all. The prawns were overcooked and also no taste. The food were not really authentic Thai because it is really sweet and less spicy. It is like the Thai restaurant in the Europe. It might be more appropriated by European who don’t understand the taste of Thai cuisine. From my opinions the taste is not much better than my hotel breakfast. The bill is 3000b+ for 2 person. We ordered the tasting menu because we expected it as Michelin style. However it is another disappointment. It is not like normal Michelin style tasting menu. The dishes are really traditional Thai, no creativity and as well not authentic. If you want to visit this restaurant, better avoid their tasting menu.

Good restaurant, but something must be up with how Thai restaurants earn Michelin stars, because other than the food, there were many areas for improvement - the menu seemed old and falling apart, the servers, except for the bartenders, were not attentive and it took 10+ min to take our order. Also they were not explaining the dishes they were serving, which most other Michelin places do, and the most annoying thing was that they hovered around our table and snatched the plates away immediately after the bite was taken from the dish. On the good side, they did surprise us with an extra dessert for our anniversary, which was nice, but they could have told us about it so we don’t order two more other desserts 😅

Well deserved Michelin star status! We had a pleasant dining experience at Khao, appreciated the creativity and high level of culinary skills, every dish is beautiful and tasty, I especially love the fish cake soufflé which is surprised me very much. Professional service throughout the dinner is excellent, plus the very reasonable pricing made us a memorable night. Dessert is fantastic too. By the way, don't ever estimate the traffic jam in Bangkok!

We came with high expectation as this restaurant get 1 Michelin star. The taste is not authentic. It was tasty by slaty, sweet, fatty but not spicy. Pad Thai was tasteless. Dish decoration was normal. Service was ok. The waiter/waitress did not explain detail of the food. Overall is just ok but over price.

1 Michelin star in Bangkok area. Good atmosphere and service. Hight quality of ingredients. Fresh food, delicious and Tasty both main course and dessert. Food serve with suitable portion. Cooking method can keep quality of ingredients until serve to table. If you come during special day like birthday, Restaurant will provide sweet as a gift. Restaurant required to booking before.

Lunch at Khao was a delightful experience, despite its distance from BTS. (Around 15-min walk from Ekkamai BTS station) The ambiance was fantastic, the service impeccable, the food delicious, and all at a reasonable price for a Michelin restaurant. I recommend Khao if you enjoy Thai cuisine in a comfortable setting.
